Ingredients
4 boneless chicken breasts
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Mix the sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is well combined.
Preheat the skillet: Set a skillet over medium heat and let it preheat for a couple of minutes.
Cook the chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the skillet, making sure they are in a single layer. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
Sear the chicken: Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side. You’ll know it’s done when the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F) and the sauce has thickened to a glaze.
Garnish: If desired, sprinkle chopped green onions over the chicken as a finishing touch.
Serve immediately: Plate the chicken with sauce poured on top and enjoy!
Notes
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to keep it juicy. Adjust the sweetness by reducing the brown sugar if desired.
