A delightful recipe that transforms simple ingredients into a comforting meal with tender chicken bathed in a rich, creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then lightly coat them in flour.
  2. Sear the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, add butter, sliced onions, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are caramelized and the garlic is fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Create the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine and serve: Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are preferred for easy cooking and tender texture. Heavy cream provides richness in the sauce; half-and-half can be used for a lighter version, but the sauce may be less thick.
