Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sear the chicken breasts seasoned with salt and pepper for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  3. Set aside the chicken on a plate to rest.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms in the same skillet until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up any brown bits, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet, simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added moisture, chicken thighs can be used. A dry white wine is recommended for the best flavor.
