A delightful Halloween cookie cake combining rich flavors and festive decorations, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (or your preferred mix-ins)
  • 1 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • Halloween-themed candies (like candy corn, gummy worms, or chocolate pumpkins)
  • Edible glitter (optional for added sparkle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan (approximately 9 inches in diameter).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they’re fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, mixing just until incorporated.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips or other mix-ins.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, spread frosting evenly on top.
  9. Adorn the top with Halloween-themed candies and optional edible glitter.
