A delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken with a flavor-packed teriyaki sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice
  • Stir-fried vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  2. Add chicken to slow cooker: Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them, ensuring they are well-coated.
  3. Cook the chicken: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Shred the chicken: Remove the chicken breasts and shred them using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
  5. Serve and enjoy: Serve the teriyaki chicken over a bed of cooked rice, topped with your choice of stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

Don’t overcook the chicken, use fresh ingredients for better flavor, and customize the sauce to taste.
