Delicious honey garlic chicken tenders bursting with flavor, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • ⅛ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos (or low sodium soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp butter (or oil)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, paprika, chili powder, cinnamon, and onion powder. Sprinkle this spice blend evenly over the chicken.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon of butter or oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Combine sauce ingredients: Stir in coconut aminos (or soy sauce), red wine vinegar, and honey. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Glaze the chicken: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, tossing in the sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve: Transfer the chicken to a serving plate and garnish with parsley or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Double the sauce for extra flavor. Don’t overcook the chicken to keep it moist.
