A quick and easy pasta dish that features tender chicken in a creamy Cajun honey butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine (or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ΒΌ cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Β½ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine until al dente according to package directions. Drain, reserving Β½ cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
  2. Season the diced chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Make sure each piece is well-coated for maximum flavor.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken in a single layer and cook for 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Once melted, add minced garlic and sautΓ© for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey and simmer gently for 1 minute. Then, pour in heavy cream and stir until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the sauce. Add the cooked fettuccine and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Feel free to substitute the fettuccine with any pasta shape you prefer. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
