A delightful dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a luscious honey soy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a medium bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  2. Heat the oil: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Cook the chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear them for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Add the sauce: Pour the honey mixture over the browned chicken, reduce the heat to low, and let it simmer for about 5 more minutes.
  5. Serve and garnish: Remove the chicken from the skillet and slice if desired. Serve it over cooked rice and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan to achieve that lovely caramelization. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through.
